We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Specialist to join our team at CECO Environmental. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and services to our customers, ensuring the efficient operation of their industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Execute established field services processes and procedures
- Conduct on-site installation, equipment start-up/commissioning, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ensure all field service projects are completed within budget/deadline to meet customers' needs
- Maintain active contact with other departments, ensuring positive and supportive communication
- Ensure confidentiality of all information concerning the Company's operational practices, marketing, engineering, pricing and sales strategies, as well as customer and prospect lists
- Allocate time efficiently and effectively, keeping track of critical information, schedules and deadlines
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures in accordance with guidelines established by the Company/OSHA
- Ensure daily/weekly/monthly reporting, as well as any other general correspondence, is communicated accurately, concisely, and in a form appropriate to the target audience
- Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures as well as additional legal regulatory requirements
- Engineering and/or Electronics or equivalent work experience or training/education
- 5+ years' experience working as a Field Services Specialist and/or Technician
- Valid in-state driver's license. Driving record must meet acceptable company standards and be maintained as such in order to operate a vehicle while on company business
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation pertaining to specifications of components and materials and computer aided design (CAD) drawings and specifications
- Ability to apply considerable knowledge of process instrumentation including pressure, flow and temperature transmitters, valve actuators and the testing and calibration of these components
- Considerable knowledge of the use of Field Service management tools and software
- Considerable knowledge of continuous emissions monitoring equipment for measurement of process source emissions
- Considerable knowledge of safe handling, storage and operations of equipment that utilizes hazardous chemicals
- Considerable knowledge of rotating equipment, including dampers, actuators, controls, and seal air fans
- Degree is preferred
- Experience working with combustion burners is a plus
- Experience working with RTO's and/or DFTO's is a plus
- Working knowledge of business-related software packages (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, etc.); exposure to MRP/ERP systems preferred
Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.
- The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job. Visits to our manufacturing facility and suppliers' facilities is required to monitor active projects and address design issues.
- Compliance with company attendance standards.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
