Position Overview

The primary objective of this role is to promote and sell products for the manufacturer to various business and industrial clients, whether at a sales office, showroom, or directly at the customer's site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong customer base to encourage repeat business within the designated sales territory.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients to secure orders for YKK products.
  • Keep architects informed about YKK offerings and ensure specifications are included in bidding processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and management to negotiate and finalize orders, following up on estimates as necessary.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive sales plans, including individual customer forecasts and strategies.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about competitive conditions within the territory and nationwide.
  • Provide accurate project quotes for customers and coordinate with the estimating department, including the ability to interpret architectural drawings for material take-offs.
  • Visit job sites to understand product installation and assist in resolving any issues encountered by field technicians.
  • Facilitate payment collection or obtain necessary credit authorizations.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or have five or more years of relevant experience in the glazing or construction industry, or a combination of education and experience.

Experience in customer service and estimating is also preferred.

Compensation

The base pay for this position in California ranges from $65,700 to $111,690, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
