This role involves overseeing staff in various operational areas, including dishwashing, beverage service, and transportation logistics. The supervisor ensures that all catering activities are completed efficiently and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all employees in the dishwashing and beverage service areas.
  • Ensure adherence to quality production standards across all accounts.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures, along with airline specifications, serving as a knowledgeable resource.
  • Prepare necessary management reports, including attendance and compliance documentation.
  • Oversee safety, quality, and compliance with customer requirements and company policies.
  • Verify that specifications and airline diagrams are accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure all products are labeled according to company procedures.
  • Conduct inventory checks to manage product usage and minimize waste.
  • Complete requisitions for supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Maintain daily logs and reports as required.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure machinery is properly serviced.
  • Manage food costs and other controllable expenses.
  • Work with management to enhance unit performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and counseling for employees, coordinating with HR as needed.
  • Balance workflow among employees during shifts.
  • Determine staffing needs based on operational demands.
  • Ensure compliance with company wage and hour policies, including breaks and meal periods.
  • Train employees on efficient work practices to maximize productivity.
  • Monitor daily staffing schedules and employee attendance.
  • Focus on employee retention and reducing turnover rates.
  • Ensure compliance with union agreements in employee management.
  • Verify that employees are correctly classified in their roles and pay rates.
  • Adhere to all company policies and training requirements.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume food production, manufacturing, or catering environment is preferred.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of over 30 employees.
  • Experience in labor relations is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to engage with employees at all levels and drive positive changes.
  • Proficiency in training others is essential.
  • Capable of providing constructive feedback regularly.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are required.
  • Innovative mindset to improve operations and work environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification is required.
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
Language Skills:
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both speaking and writing.
  • Bi-lingual abilities in English and Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish are a plus.
