POSITION SUMMARY:


The Catering Event Bartender plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional bar service at various catered events, ensuring that guests enjoy a memorable experience. This position is tasked with maintaining an organized bar area and providing high-quality beverage service during banquets, receptions, and other events, ultimately contributing to customer satisfaction and loyalty.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Catering Event Bartender is responsible for the setup, operation, and breakdown of bars at events.

These bars typically offer a selection of beer, wine, various spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Working either independently or as part of a team, bartenders prepare the beverage service area, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available.

During events, the bartender prepares and mixes drinks for guests, tailoring recommendations based on individual preferences and needs.

Compliance with company policies and safety protocols is essential, including verifying guests' ages when serving alcoholic beverages.

A positive demeanor, professional appearance, and strong communication skills are vital for success in this role.

Catering & Event Bartender Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
A minimum of 2 years of bartending experience is required

Basic math and computer skills are necessary for operating a cash register, processing payments, and managing transactions.

Ability to use a keyboard and point of sale systems for order processing and check-out procedures.

Manual dexterity is required for tasks such as garnishing drinks, handling glassware, and mixing beverages.

Ability to remember and promote the variety of drink offerings
Thorough knowledge of drink recipes and liquor service laws.
Professional, courteous, and attentive to guests' needs
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure guest satisfaction
Follow specific instructions for each event
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical demands and work environment:
Must be able to stand for extended periods, typically 8 hours or more.
Regularly required to walk
Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, or kneel
Consistently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
Regularly required to communicate verbally
Occasionally exposed to wet, humid, or hot conditions (both weather-related and otherwise)
Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions
Noise levels in the work environment may be high.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances
Valid California Food Handlers Card
Valid ABC Responsible Beverage Service certificate

Vaccination is a requirement of the job, with accommodations evaluated based on disability or religious reasons in accordance with regulations.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to various event locations and company facilities.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed, and the employee is expected to assist in other operational areas when required.
