Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Services Engineer 3 to join our team at MasTec Communications Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and integrating In-building systems for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural site surveys at customer locations and provide detailed reports to our engineering team.
  • Assist with RF benchmarking and troubleshooting test kits to ensure proper setup.
  • Facilitate and perform DAS commissioning and integration activities across multiple wireless service providers.
  • Deploy to cell site locations to install, configure, and test cellular, small cell, WiFi, and DAS equipment.
  • Install, connectorize, and test coaxial and CAT 6 Ethernet cables.
  • Install and commission DC power plants.
  • Be responsible for picking up equipment from customer or company warehouses and reporting on equipment disposition.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with related experience, or technical school or associate's degree in engineering or electronics.
  • BISCI credits and certifications from Nokia, Ericsson, and DAS manufacturers (Commscope, JMA, ADRF, SOLID) are preferred.
  • Small cell certifications (ALU 9962, Ericsson DOT, Spidercloud) are also preferred.
  • Prior field experience in a technical field, particularly in mobility DAS, WiFi, and small cell networks, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of cabling (RF, electrical, DC power, CAT5/6, T1 copper, fiber) is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to use company vehicles and test equipment.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification and scissor lift certification are required.
  • First aid, CPR, and AED training are also required.
