Job Overview

Wright Technical Services is in search of a Regional Field Service Engineer to support a leading client in the automation sector. The successful candidate will bring a robust background in industrial robotics and the technical know-how to deliver outstanding field service. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute thorough service operations on innovative robotic assembly and welding systems deployed across North America, including robot calibrations, software enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • Guide customers on optimal equipment usage by providing clear operational instructions.
  • Identify and resolve customer issues swiftly, particularly during machine downtimes.
  • Collaborate with clients to suggest long-term enhancements and coordinate with the Engineering team.
  • Install aftermarket components/products sold as upgrades or retrofits for existing customers.
  • Assess spare parts requirements and coordinate with the back-office team to fulfill them.
  • Generate service reports that include value propositions and actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers at both managerial and operational levels.
  • Be prepared to travel domestically and internationally for approximately 75% of the year.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and assist in other areas as necessary.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the installation and servicing of high-value industrial machinery.
  • Proficient in software, electrical, and mechanical skills; familiarity with robotic welding equipment is essential.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours based on a dynamic schedule.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, interpersonal, and diagnostic abilities.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout North America (US, Canada, Mexico).
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused service approach.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Possession of a current and valid US driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
