Position Overview:

We are looking for enthusiastic, approachable, and supportive individuals to greet and assist customers effectively. Previous experience in hardware retail is advantageous.

The Sales Associate will play a key role in receiving and stocking merchandise, ensuring a tidy and organized presentation of products, as well as maintaining overall store cleanliness.

Availability during evenings and weekends is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:
  • Represent Ace Hardware positively at all times.
  • Proactively assist customers in resolving their inquiries.
  • Welcome customers as they enter and throughout their shopping experience, expressing gratitude upon their departure.
  • Maintain a friendly and outgoing demeanor while interacting with customers and team members.
  • Respond to all inquiries and calls promptly and courteously.
  • Direct any unresolved customer complaints to management.
  • Possess comprehensive product knowledge and familiarity with store layout.
  • Provide personalized assistance to customers, ensuring exceptional service.
Store Operations:
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and safe working environment.
  • Assist with the receiving, checking, and stocking of merchandise.
  • Help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor areas.
  • Ensure that the sales floor is organized, including promotional displays and merchandise.
  • Support merchandise resets throughout the store.
  • Assist Department Specialists with tasks such as pricing updates and special orders.
  • Ensure that all signage is up-to-date.
  • Communicate any issues requiring attention to the General Manager.
  • Share ideas related to merchandising, cost control, or sales with management.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain professionalism in appearance and conduct.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
