Role Summary:

Under the guidance of the Soft Count Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Kiosk and Gaming Floor Drop and/or Count, ensuring adherence to all company and Tribal regulations. This role involves enforcing departmental protocols, facilitating the training of new personnel, fostering a positive work environment, and executing additional responsibilities as assigned. A comprehensive understanding of Drop and Count Procedures is essential, as the Supervisor will ensure the secure handling of the company's monetary assets during these processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises team members to achieve and surpass performance goals by cultivating a positive work atmosphere and effective employee relations.
  • Assists the Manager in ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations governing the Kiosk and Gaming Floor Drop and Count, including Tribal, Federal, and State requirements.
  • Maintains operations in the drop and count room during assigned shifts, including uploading necessary files to the Revenue Audit in the absence of the Manager.
  • Supports supervisors in tracking current game asset numbers within the drop box system.
  • Provides recommendations for training, evaluating, rewarding, and administering disciplinary actions for staff.
  • Helps implement training programs for team members within the department.
  • Oversees equipment procedures and maintenance, including submitting repair requests as needed.
  • Assists the Manager in managing supply levels for the drop and count rooms.
  • Delegates tasks and monitors staff performance, providing constructive feedback as necessary.
  • Completes operational documentation, ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and preparing daily reports for the Audit department.
  • Maintains awareness of gaming operations and adheres to security protocols to protect company assets.
  • Reviews and approves PTO requests and conducts quarterly evaluations for team members.
  • Performs other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required; must complete a GED program within six months if currently enrolled.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.
  • Associate's Degree in a related field is required.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience is required, or one (1) year as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a relevant department.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the hiring department is required.
  • One (1) year of experience in a casino Count Room is required.
  • Knowledge of the Cash Operations Manual, Minimum Internal Control, and Tribal Gaming Standards related to electronic gaming machine drop and count procedures is essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Exposure to casino-related environmental factors, including secondhand smoke and excessive noise.
  • Must successfully pass a timed math skills assessment.
  • Proficiency in operating currency and coin counting machines is required.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary.
  • Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
  • Successful completion of a Guest Services Audition is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Capability to work in a bent position for extended periods.
  • Must be able to push/pull large Drop Cages weighing up to 1,100 pounds.
  • Experience in accurately handling large monetary transactions and related machinery is essential.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Willingness to travel for training as needed.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain an Occupational License as required by gaming regulations.
