Position Overview

Role Summary:

Under the guidance of the Soft Count Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Kiosk and Gaming Floor Drop and/or Count, ensuring adherence to all company and Tribal regulations. This role includes enforcing departmental policies, facilitating the training of new personnel, fostering a positive work environment, and executing additional tasks as assigned. A comprehensive understanding of Drop and Count Procedures is essential, as the Supervisor will manage the secure handling of the company’s monetary assets during these processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee staff performance to ensure it meets and exceeds expectations by cultivating a supportive work environment and promoting effective employee relations.
  • Assist the Manager in ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations governing the Kiosk and Gaming Floor Drop and Count, including Tribal, Federal, and State guidelines as well as Cash Handling protocols.
  • Manage the operations of the drop and count room during assigned shifts in the absence of the Manager, including the upload of necessary files to Revenue Audit.
  • Support supervisors in maintaining accurate game asset counts within the drop box tracking system.
  • Provide recommendations regarding staff training, evaluations, rewards, and disciplinary actions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs for team members.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and submit requests for repairs and modifications as needed.
  • Assist the Manager in managing supply levels for the drop and count rooms.
  • Delegate tasks and monitor staff performance, providing constructive feedback as necessary.
  • Complete operational documentation to confirm adherence to approved accounting practices and prepare daily reports for the Audit department.
  • Maintain awareness of gaming operations and comply with security protocols to safeguard company assets.
  • Review and approve or deny time-off requests and conduct quarterly evaluations for team members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required; or currently enrolled in a GED program with completion within six months as a condition of continued employment.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Associate's Degree in a related field is required.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience is required, or one (1) year as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a relevant department.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the hiring department is also acceptable.
  • One (1) year of experience in a casino Count Room is mandatory.
  • Must possess knowledge of the Cash Operations Manual, Minimum Internal Control, and Tribal Gaming Standards related to electronic gaming machine operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Exposure to casino-related environmental factors, including secondhand smoke and high noise levels.
  • Must successfully complete a timed math skills assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate currency and coin counting machines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Must be able to stand for the entire duration of the shift.
  • Successful completion of a Guest Services Audition is required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to work in a bent position for extended periods.
  • Must be able to push/pull large Drop Cages weighing up to 1,100 pounds.
  • Experience in accurately handling large monetary transactions and associated machinery is essential.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Willingness to travel for training as required.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain an Occupational License in accordance with relevant gaming regulations.
