Position Summary

The Professional Tanker Operator is tasked with executing bulk and packaged deliveries, navigating routes, and ensuring exemplary customer service and logistical support for lubricant department deliveries within the designated region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport and deliver both loaded and empty tanker trucks in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner.
  • Manage trailer connections and disconnections, operate pumps and valves, and accurately fill tanks of various types and sizes.
  • Secure all necessary equipment and products using approved methods, such as tie-downs and straps.
  • Load and unload trailers as necessary, which includes frequent lifting and maneuvering of products and equipment.
  • Ensure customer orders are accurate and adhere to established standards, proactively addressing potential service issues.
  • Maintain professional relationships with management, dispatchers, customers, and colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Complete all required documentation and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects or incidents promptly.
  • Assist in warehouse operations as needed, safely operating equipment to manage inventory.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices and enforce safety protocols within the workplace.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Class A Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Current DOT Medical Card.
  • Minimum of one year of verifiable experience with tractor-trailer tankers.
  • Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, along with Doubles/Triples endorsements.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, including winter driving experience.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Capability to safely handle heavy items and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow effectively.
