Job Overview

Position: Senior Risk Analyst - Loss Prevention

Role Responsibilities
  • Oversee the comprehensive execution of the Loss Prevention Program, collaborating with Operations to establish a systematic inspection schedule, selecting locations for annual evaluations, and coordinating inspections with Engineering Consultants.
  • Ensure participation of key personnel, including plant managers and senior engineers, during inspections, tailored to the specific profile of each facility.
  • Facilitate initial meetings to discuss previous engineering recommendations and conduct follow-up sessions post-inspection to ensure reports encapsulate not only suggestions but also a holistic view of the site, including safety investments and technical insights.
  • During the drafting phase of engineering reports, coordinate internal reviews, disseminating findings to inspection participants and relevant technical committees, culminating in a summary presentation at monthly meetings.
  • Upon approval of draft reports, ensure finalization by Engineering Consultants and distribution to designated stakeholders, in alignment with the VP of EHS.
  • Share report contents with Technical Committees, which will provide feedback on how recommendations will be implemented, considering input from the Loss Prevention Steering Committee.
  • Communicate the implementation status of recommendations back to Engineering Consultants, detailing timelines and follow-up procedures.
  • Develop tailored Power BI reports for engineering practices to serve as metrics for the Steering Committee, aiding prioritization discussions among Operations leadership and CAPEX teams.
  • Create comprehensive Power BI reports to track the overall progress of the Loss Prevention Program, under the guidance of the EHS VP, highlighting advancements made based on engineering consultant recommendations and overall safety improvements across the organization.
  • Annually establish and review the loss prevention strategy in collaboration with Operations and Safety teams, prioritizing key initiatives for various timeframes and ensuring necessary CAPEX is allocated for implementation.
  • Champion a culture of loss prevention, risk management, and safety throughout the organization by developing policies, procedures, and training in partnership with Operations and Safety teams.
  • Evaluate existing emergency response plans and safety protocols with Operations and Safety teams, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and engineering recommendations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, etc.).
  • Technical certifications, MBA, or other relevant academic qualifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in coordinating engineering services is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Global or Large Property Programs is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal); additional language skills are a plus for this global role.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on objectivity, problem-solving, and results orientation.
  • Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of the impact of work on business strategy are essential.
