Senior Risk Analyst - Loss Prevention

Role Responsibilities
  • Oversee the comprehensive framework surrounding the Loss Prevention Program, collaborating with Operations to manage the schedule for inspection visits, determining which sites require annual assessments, and coordinating inspections with both internal teams and external engineering consultants.
  • Ensure that inspections are attended by key personnel, including plant managers and senior engineers, in accordance with the specific requirements of each facility.
  • Facilitate kickoff meetings during inspections to discuss previous engineering recommendations with all relevant stakeholders, followed by wrap-up meetings to ensure that the engineering reports encompass not only recommendations but also a holistic view of the site, including safety investments and technical insights.
  • During the drafting phase of engineering reports by consultants, coordinate internal reviews, disseminating reports to all participants of the inspection and subsequently sharing them with technical committees and legal teams, summarizing findings in monthly steering committee meetings.
  • Upon approval of draft reports, ensure that engineering consultants finalize and distribute the documents to designated personnel, coordinating with the Vice President of Environmental Health and Safety.
  • Share report contents with technical committees, which will provide feedback on how recommendations will be implemented, considering input from the Loss Prevention Steering Committee.
  • Communicate the response regarding recommendations back to engineering consultants, detailing implementation timelines and follow-up processes.
  • Develop specific Power BI reports tailored to engineering practices to serve as metrics for the steering committee and to aid in prioritization discussions among Operations leadership and capital expenditure teams.
  • Create Power BI reports to track the overall progress of the Loss Prevention Program, under the guidance of the Environmental Health and Safety Vice President, capturing not only the status of engineering recommendations but also all enhancements made across the organization.
  • Annually establish and review the loss prevention strategy in collaboration with Operations and Safety teams, based on engineering recommendations, prioritizing key initiatives for various timeframes and ensuring necessary capital expenditures are approved.
  • Promote a culture of loss prevention, risk management, and safety throughout the organization by developing policies, procedures, and training programs in partnership with Operations and Safety teams.
  • Evaluate existing emergency response plans and safety protocols with Operations and Safety teams to ensure alignment with industry best practices and engineering recommendations.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering disciplines such as Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil.
  • Technical certifications, an MBA, or other relevant academic qualifications in engineering are advantageous.
  • Experience in coordinating engineering services is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with global or large property program contexts is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is essential; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both spoken and written, with a focus on objectivity, problem-solving, and results orientation.
  • High analytical capability, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of how the role impacts the broader business strategy are critical.
