Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities:

The Senior Analyst for Logistics Compliance is tasked with overseeing import and export compliance protocols and international trade initiatives. This role encompasses various responsibilities, including supply chain security (C-TPAT, AEO), ensuring the integrity of international trade data (country of origin, classification, ECCN, etc.), and managing duty drawback and Free Trade Agreements. The analyst will collaborate with the Logistics Compliance Manager to enhance overall compliance strategies and ensure adherence to medical device import, export, and trade regulations.

Key Duties:

  • Execute import/export operations in alignment with governmental regulations and organizational policies.
  • Address issues regarding the interpretation of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Country of Origin, Customs Valuations, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Oversee compliance with trade programs and issue necessary certificates.
  • Manage Customs reconciliation and anti-boycott initiatives.
  • Maintain data governance in SAP and ensure compliance records meet regulatory standards.
  • Develop and update compliance manuals, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in researching Customs and regulatory requirements for new markets.
  • Collaborate with IT to enhance import/export data compliance.
  • Monitor new global trade policies and their implications.
  • Support the implementation of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT).
  • Conduct internal risk assessments and follow up on compliance improvement plans.
  • Provide training on import/export regulations to various functional teams.
  • Contribute to global compliance projects and generate performance reports for management.
  • Help refine operational processes to improve efficiency.
  • Communicate compliance policies to stakeholders.
  • Assist sites, suppliers, and customers in enhancing their compliance functions.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, international business, finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Trade Compliance or Logistics Operations Compliance, particularly in the medical device sector.
  • Licensed Customs Broker or equivalent professional certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, FDA importing standards, and EAR & Census Trade requirements.
  • Proficient in customs regulations, import/export classification, and free trade agreements.
  • Experience with Global Trade Management Software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on risk management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work independently or collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop innovative solutions for complex logistics challenges.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Security Programs and duty drawback processes.

  • Experience with SAP S4/HANA is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
