Classification Purpose:
The classification aims to oversee technical management across various functions, platforms, technologies, and applications related to systems architecture and design.
Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the technical implementation and ongoing management of large-scale, cross-platform systems.
- Conduct multidisciplinary technical management and evaluate project methodologies related to enterprise systems.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to analysts and database administrators.
- Design and architect major software and database environments for enterprise-wide integration.
- Implement monitoring, capacity planning, and modeling strategies.
- Lead complex troubleshooting efforts and offer recommendations for urgent technical issues.
- Assist in enterprise-wide planning and communication across various technical divisions.
- Engage with end users to assess technology needs and develop strategic plans for systems architecture.
- Meet with vendors to create hardware and software specifications and solutions.
- Consult with clients to provide technical direction for proposed enterprise solutions.
- Stay informed about new technologies and trends in the field through professional development activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, along with seven years of progressively responsible experience in a centralized IT organization, including lead or supervisory roles. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience that provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position will also be considered.
Required Certifications: A valid Georgia driver's license is mandatory.
Additional Information:
This vacancy is for a senior database administrator/architect role, with a preference for candidates experienced in Microsoft Azure.
