Overview of Position:
The Senior Maintenance Technician Team Lead will be responsible for performing advanced level break-fix and preventative maintenance on facilities and manufacturing equipment. This includes observing devices in operation to locate root causes of problems, dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, and repairing or replacing defective parts. The successful candidate will also provide leadership to small teams and mentorship to lower-level technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor work requests, document work, and update records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Provide leadership to small teams and mentorship to lower-level technicians
- Perform advanced maintenance functions as part of training and development
- Perform checks of alignment and geometric accuracies and adjust
- Prepare and submit daily maintenance reports containing information obtained during the shift, including safety concerns and observations, repair actions and maintenance performed, procedures that went well or badly, and summary of ongoing trends of facility assets
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities; supervisory experience
- High school diploma (or equivalent); Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar program is not required but would be strongly encouraged
- Advanced mechanical and electrical skills, including the ability to read and interpret schematics, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, analyze information, and make informed decisions
- Experience with Siemens controllers and G&L and Cincinnati machines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as a customer service mentality
- Valid state driver's license, vehicle insurance, and dependable vehicle
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud.
