Job Description: Per Diem (On Call)

At Northwell Health, we are seeking a skilled Surgical Documentation Specialist to provide pre-surgical documentation for physicians and instructions for patients.

  • Obtain all necessary documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate operating time, place, and instructions to patients, providing clear and concise information.
  • Prepare patient charts for physicians' review the day before surgery, ensuring all necessary information is included.
  • Respond to patient inquiries related to surgery, providing timely and effective support.
  • Act as liaison between the patient and physician regarding the surgery, facilitating open communication.
  • Perform related duties as required, ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Job Qualification:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

Additional Salary Detail:

The salary range for this position is $23.28/hour.
