Job Overview

As a key member of our team, the Production Scheduler plays a vital role in orchestrating the flow of orders through the manufacturing pipeline. This position is essential for ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assess incoming orders for precision and completeness.
  2. Verify that materials and shop orders are established or on order for necessary components.
  3. Monitor communications for requests to modify quantities or shipping timelines.
  4. Track the status of all open sales orders, prioritizing adherence to schedules and timely deliveries.
  5. Adjust production timelines as required, responding to manufacturing and supply chain challenges, and inform supervisors of any modifications.
  6. Collaborate closely with the Sales team to communicate any potential delays in order fulfillment.
  7. Engage with Engineering to resolve issues related to structures or routing.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required, with an Associate's degree in Business or a related field preferred. This role may be suitable for entry-level candidates, though at least one year of experience in planning, expediting, or production control within a similar production environment is advantageous.

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in using computers and familiar with ERP systems, Microsoft Windows, and Office applications.
  • Basic mathematical abilities.
  • Strong reading comprehension skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing procedures and read basic drawings.

Physical Requirements:

Must possess sufficient manual dexterity for computer use and the ability to sit for extended periods. The role may require standing or walking for up to two hours daily and adhering to safety protocols in the manufacturing area.
