Position Summary: The Product Development Engineer is responsible for designing and enhancing products while ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with sales and manufacturing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all stages of product development from initial design to production release.
  • Develop, document, and manage project plans for product development.
  • Coordinate new development projects, including timelines, budgets, tooling, and compliance approvals.
  • Create solid modeling designs to uphold design integrity.
  • Conduct evaluations for stress analysis, fluid dynamics, material strength, and machine design elements.
  • Plan and budget comprehensive product development projects.
  • Review engineering drawings for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in product testing and approval processes at national laboratories.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting hazards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • Master's Degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in mechanical design or a related field.
    • Experience with sprinkler systems and plumbing standards is preferred.
