Business Systems Analyst

Location: Remote

Chenega IT Enterprise Services (CITES) provides progressive technology solutions to federal entities and the Department of Defense. Established to cater to federal clients, CITES has rapidly evolved into a leader in best practices for the contemporary federal enterprise.

The Business Systems Analyst will focus significantly on platform enhancement and data governance, occasionally engaging in Salesforce coding or administration. Candidates should have experience as Salesforce Developers, Administrators, or within the Salesforce ecosystem, enabling them to translate requirements effectively at the Salesforce Developer or Coder level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Agile Development Team and other project stakeholders to comprehend their system requirements.
  • Deliver solutions driven by customer needs, adhering to agile methodologies and development practices.
  • Provide expertise to a cross-functional Agile Development Team that creates custom objects, page layouts, and record types to differentiate various requirements.
  • Ensure that release schedules and deliverables align with mission requirements.
  • Facilitate discussions regarding program initiatives.
  • Assist the Project Director in conducting briefings and demonstrations across the Department of Defense and offer technical support to current and potential clients.
  • Decompose roadmaps into epics and user stories, ensuring they include acceptance criteria and conducting technical reviews.
  • Work with the Project Director and Salesforce team to prioritize the backlog.
  • Validate the development of system solutions to meet business needs.
  • Map process models, design technical solutions, and collaborate with the Quality team to facilitate formal system testing.
  • Coordinate and support code releases across various environments.
  • Provide additional support and guidance during the implementation phase, including the creation of training materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to design, build, and manage modules that may require external consultation.
  • Track the resolution of technical issues and provide program expertise to negotiate solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or business administration OR
  • High school diploma or GED with an additional 4+ years of relevant experience in system administration and/or business analysis.
  • Must possess military experience.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • This position requires a favorable background investigation and general user network permissions with the potential for obtaining a security clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to comprehend and document customer business requirements.
  • Deep understanding of business processes and system functionalities, coupled with strong Salesforce knowledge.
  • Strong grasp of organizational workflows, DoD-supported technology, database concepts, and system implementations.
  • Experience in coordinating personnel workload and managing release deadlines.
  • Ability to work remotely within established core hours.
  • Familiarity with the DevOps Lifecycle and experience in coordinating Continuous Improvement/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Experience in complex enterprise application environments with integrations and customizations.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Strong knowledge of aerial delivery processes.
