Apple Vision Pro represents a groundbreaking spatial computing device that harmoniously integrates digital content with the physical world. This innovation empowers users to engage in their passions in unprecedented ways while maintaining connections with those around them. The Vision Products Group (VPG) at Apple seeks a Senior Applications Engineer to help redefine the future of interactive computing on our platform. This team is at the forefront of Apple's cutting-edge technologies in Spatial Computing. As a senior member, you will be responsible for developing applications that inspire, empower, and delight millions.

Role Overview

Apple is dedicated to making the latest technologies accessible, enabling the creation of remarkable user experiences. You will have the chance to design prototypes at the forefront of technology, discovering optimal experiences for our products. Collaborating closely with Apple's Human Interface design team, you will help shape the next evolution of computing. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic and innovative environment, where rapid and intelligent decision-making is essential to assess the feasibility of ideas and technologies.

To excel in this position, you should possess a strong understanding of 3D applications and a desire to explore uncharted territories. You will collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to conceptualize and validate new application ideas and user experience paradigms, tackling complex and intriguing challenges in Spatial Computing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Objective-C, Swift, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and enthusiasm.
  • Solid understanding of 3D mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Ability to make informed decisions regarding time versus complexity trade-offs.

At Apple, base compensation is one aspect of our comprehensive compensation package, determined within a range that reflects your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300.

Apple employees can also participate in discretionary stock programs, with opportunities for restricted stock unit awards and discounted stock purchases through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, product discounts, free services, and educational reimbursement for career advancement. Additionally, this role may qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission payments, as well as relocation assistance.
