Role Overview: We are seeking an Engineering Growth Lead to join our dynamic team at Snap. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive product and engineering roadmaps across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Backend) to support our strategic growth initiatives.
  • Influence critical architectural decisions and trade-offs to implement scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient engineering solutions.
  • Design and implement notification campaigns and products utilized by a vast user base.
  • Manage a diverse team of engineers across various locations, collaborating with leaders and executives to ensure the highest quality standards for our products.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to translate product requirements into technical specifications, which will inform engineering roadmaps.
  • Foster and expand a team of talented software engineers and technical leaders, providing mentorship and guidance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Solid foundation in computer science principles and technical expertise.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to advocate for the team's objectives and projects with cross-functional partners and leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing software engineering teams.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering roles.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems and data processing pipelines.
  • Familiarity with backend systems that support mobile applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience in product development focused on growth strategies.
  • Knowledge of machine learning ranking systems.
