About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our Spectacles, Wearable Experiences team. As a Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in pushing the boundaries of AR on wearable devices and creating innovative user experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop innovative AR experiences for wearable devices
- Collaborate with product design teams to create and iterate on new prototypes
- Work closely with engineering teams to build sophisticated prototypes
- Conduct user research to inform design decisions and iterate on feedback
- Present work to leadership and stakeholders
- Strong computer science fundamentals
- Expertise in JavaScript and C#/C++
- Solid understanding of real-time AR development tools and 3D engines (e.g. Unity, Unreal, Lens Studio)
- Familiarity with creating experiences for VR/AR
- Familiarity with 3D math, linear algebra, 3D geometry, graphics, and rendering
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to think at a high level about product strategy
- Capable of acting as a Product Manager when needed
- Experience with spatial design, prototyping, and development software (e.g. Lens Studio, Figma, Blender, C4D, Unity)
- Bringing a new perspective or expertise to the table (e.g. AI, CV, ML, 3D graphics, HCI)
- Passion for Snap Inc. products
