Apple Vision Pro represents a groundbreaking advancement in spatial computing, merging digital content with the physical environment in unprecedented ways. This technology empowers users to engage with their passions while maintaining connections with those around them. The Vision Products Group (VPG) at Apple is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to help redefine the future of interactive computing on our platform. This team is at the forefront of Apple's most sophisticated technologies in Spatial Computing. As a senior member, you will be instrumental in developing applications that inspire and empower millions.

Role Overview

Apple is dedicated to making cutting-edge technologies accessible, creating extraordinary user experiences. In this role, you will have the chance to develop prototypes at the forefront of technology, identifying optimal experiences for our products. Collaboration with Apple's Human Interface design team is essential to shape the next generation of computing. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic and creative setting, demonstrating the ability to swiftly assess the feasibility of innovative ideas and technologies. A strong grasp of 3D applications and a desire to explore uncharted territories are crucial.

You will collaborate closely with artists, designers, and engineers to conceptualize and validate new application ideas and user experience paradigms, tackling complex and intriguing challenges in Spatial Computing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Objective-C, Swift, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and enthusiasm.
  • Solid understanding of 3D mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Ability to make informed decisions regarding time versus complexity trade-offs.

At Apple, your base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a range. This structure allows for growth as you develop in your role. The base salary range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, with actual compensation based on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in our discretionary employee stock programs. Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additionally, you will receive benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounts on products and services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses related to career advancement at Apple. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments, as well as relocation assistance.
