As a key member of the Cafe leadership team, the Assistant General Manager plays a vital role in driving business growth and excellence. This senior business leader is responsible for supporting the General Manager in upholding brand standards, core values, and meeting or exceeding Owners' Objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset management of the entire facility, ensuring seamless operations and maximizing business potential.
  • Collaborate with Sales to execute the Cafe Sales & Marketing plan, driving year-over-year entrée count growth.
  • Mentor and coach junior management staff in understanding the business's financial goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with the Cafe General Manager to communicate a clear operating direction, based on a sound understanding of the business, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
  • Support the team in consistent execution of all systems and processes, delivering products and services to brand standards.
  • Build a highly functional team of management and hourly team members, sharing a common vision and values for the Cafe's success.
  • Champion change, ensuring successful implementation of local and company initiatives.
  • Foster an environment of customer advocacy, where team members prioritize guest satisfaction.
  • Execute established standards for overall guest satisfaction, meeting or exceeding brand standards.
  • Respond to guest feedback from all sources, including social media and email, in conjunction with the GM.
  • Support Cafe staffing objectives by attracting and retaining top talent, placing them in positions that leverage their skills and expertise.
  • Clearly define goals and expectations for each management and hourly team member, using performance review tools and holding them accountable for successful performance.
  • Support staff development and advancement along well-defined career paths.
  • Develop, implement, and execute learning and developmental programs for all individuals under their stewardship, driving continuous improvement and retention.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, inclusive of restaurant front line operations.
  • Bachelor's Business Degree or documented entrepreneurial hospitality leadership.
