Utility Equipment Specialist

The role involves the operation of various utility machinery, such as loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, and trenching equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.

- Safely operates utility machinery on job sites, ensuring a secure environment for all team members.
- Adheres to proper trenching and excavation protocols to prevent trench collapses.
- Accurately positions pipes and fittings for effective installation during construction and repair operations.
- Excavates and backfills trenches to facilitate the installation of manholes, pipes, valves, and other fittings.
- Conducts preventive and corrective maintenance on company vehicles and machinery.
- Utilizes hand tools, small equipment, and other machinery as required.
- Follows established safety standards, procedures, and policies diligently.
- Assists as a crew member when not engaged in equipment operation.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand safety regulations, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedural documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is necessary for job functions.
- Possession of a valid Alabama Driver's License with Class A CDL; DOT Gas Pipeline Operator Qualifications; Plastic Fusion Certification; CPR/First Aid Certification; and relevant safety training.
