In this role, you will engage with various stakeholders to implement innovative utility improvement strategies, focusing on optimizing our utility-scale cogeneration operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion ADM's safety protocols and ensure compliance across all operations.
- Drive utility technology initiatives and strategic coordination.
- Oversee the energy balance model for cogeneration systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Provide engineering expertise to tackle complex challenges in utility management.
- Support ADM's sustainability and conservation objectives through innovative solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert during capital project development and design evaluations.
- Develop equipment specifications and promote advanced technologies for enhanced efficiency.
- Analyze system failures and collaborate with teams to identify root causes.
- Conduct fieldwork, guiding both internal teams and external contractors.
- Facilitate collaboration across multiple disciplines and management levels.
- Deliver technical training and support to colleagues as needed.
- Maintain documentation for the Front End Loading (FEL) process and standard operating procedures.
- Work in environments with high temperatures and pressures associated with boiler systems.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge of cogeneration and utility operations, with a strong focus on safety.
- Ability to enforce compliance with safety protocols and jurisdictional codes.
- Expertise in identifying opportunities for energy efficiency and system optimization.
- Comprehensive understanding of water treatment, combustion processes, and electrical generation.
- Proficient in interpreting flow diagrams and P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ADM's PE, FEL, and WAVE systems.
- Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements:
