Job Summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Front End Preventative Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our front end equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Recognize and correct unsafe conditions, guarding, procedures, or personnel actions to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on all front end equipment as required to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all front end production and support equipment in a safe and timely manner.
  • Train Front End Maintainers on equipment operation and maintenance requirements to ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Perform periodic machinery testing/inspection to determine alignment, wear, and operating efficiency.
  • Complete required documentation on machine maintenance and test results to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in other areas as needed to maintain smooth can flow through the plant.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all work areas and machines and practice proper safety procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to train others and answer questions on machinery to ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to achieve common goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and trouble shooting skills to resolve equipment issues.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics to ensure equipment operation.
  • Basic knowledge of how electrical components work to ensure equipment safety.
  • Ability to use precision measurement devices (i.e. calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators) to ensure accurate measurements.
Travel

0 - 10% travel may be required for training or equipment maintenance.
