Senior Estimator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Elsdon Group. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in pre-construction and estimating activities, working closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost assessments and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages for various project types, focusing on Retail and Medical ground-up builds.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other project documents to identify project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers and site superintendents, to ensure alignment and accuracy of project scope and costs.
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings and contribute to strategy discussions for competitive bidding.
  • Review project budgets and schedules for feasibility and risk assessment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of estimating experience in Commercial, Retail, or Medical construction.
  • Proven track record of estimating ground-up projects for clients such as Sprouts, Home Depot, or similar retail chains.
  • Proficiency in Procore or other construction management software.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
