Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Neptune. As a key member of our SaaS team, you will be responsible for defining and coordinating testing efforts within our commercial software offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and coordinate testing efforts within Neptune's commercial software offerings
  • Author and execute test cases, using defined methodologies for manual and/or automated tests
  • Isolate, reproduce, and track bugs and verify fixes
  • Document test results and assist in the continuous improvement and modification of software
  • Develop solutions that scale, and work through any challenges and solve problems
  • Participate in Sprint Planning, Estimation, and Retrospective meetings to review project progress and act accordingly
  • Remain involved in preparing and reviewing estimates and project plan as required
  • Play a vital role during project planning by providing QA estimates and detailing tasks involved across each step in Neptune's Product Development testing processes
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer (functional, integration, regression, performance, and scalability testing) for distributed systems
  • Experience with testing and using REST APIs
  • Experience with testing mobile applications
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
  • Demonstrates ability to back decisions with research and the 'why'. Articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation
  • A 'can-do' attitude to meet challenges; energized by change and thriving in team-based work
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills and ability to establish good working relationships with a wide range of people
  • Project and time management skills, with the ability to manage completing priorities
  • Experience working in a diverse team and accomplishing goals with cross-team collaboration
