Senior Mechanical Engineer

LHB is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy and Industry Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical engineering design for various projects in the Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, Mining, and Heavy Manufacturing markets.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and lead the mechanical engineering design team to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Work closely with clients to develop project scope and estimates, ensuring successful project execution.
- Participate in meetings with external clients and stakeholders to discuss project progress and requirements.
- Perform field verifications and organize acquired field data to ensure accurate project documentation.
- Review and complete design calculations and equipment selection to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide oversight and guidance to junior engineers and drafters on project designs.
- Foster relationships with existing clients and cultivate new relationships to drive business growth.
- Participate in business development activities, including marketing materials preparation, presentations, and trade shows.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering design, with a focus on mechanical engineering.
- Professional Engineering licensure.
- Familiarity with hazardous liquid, gas, process, and power piping systems/equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience supervising staff and leading teams.
- Leadership experience and/or aspirations.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and analysis software such as Ceasar II and/or AFT Fathom.
- Experience using AutoCAD or Revit.
