Position: Outside Sales Representative

We are seeking a skilled Outside Sales Representative to drive our sales initiatives. This role is crucial in identifying, engaging, and securing new clientele.

The successful candidate will focus on selling inspection contracts related to fire safety systems, including fire sprinklers, alarms, backflow preventers, extinguishers, and specialized hazard systems. Responsibilities include prospecting, cold calling, and organizing sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage potential customers through cold calls and site visits.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities in our CRM system.
  • Gather and document new client information and equipment needs.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine client requirements.
  • Provide timely quotes to prospective clients using our CRM.
  • Close sales effectively.
  • Ensure smooth transfer of sales information to the inspection team.
  • Follow up on leads and tasks promptly.
  • Participate in networking and marketing events to expand contacts.
  • Collaborate effectively on larger accounts.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
  • A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in selling inspection or service contracts, particularly in a B2B environment.
  • Experience in the fire safety industry is advantageous.
  • Mechanical aptitude or prior experience in fire life safety is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven track record of success.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
