Position: Outside Sales Representative

We are seeking a skilled Outside Sales Representative to spearhead our initiatives in identifying and securing new business opportunities. This role is crucial in driving our sales efforts and expanding our client base.

The successful candidate will focus on selling inspection agreements for fire safety systems, including fire sprinklers, alarms, backflow preventers, extinguishers, and specialized hazard systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and pursuing new customer prospects through cold calling and site visits.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activities in our CRM system.
  • Gathering and organizing client contact and equipment data efficiently.
  • Conducting site assessments to determine client needs.
  • Providing timely quotes for potential clients.
  • Closing sales effectively.
  • Transferring relevant sales information to the inspection team.
  • Ensuring prompt follow-up on all leads and tasks.
  • Participating in networking and marketing events to expand professional contacts.
  • Collaborating on large accounts to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
  • A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in selling inspection or service contracts, particularly in a B2B environment.
  • Experience in the fire safety industry is advantageous.
  • Mechanical aptitude or prior experience in fire life safety is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven track record of success in sales.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) is essential.
