Key Responsibilities- Building Management
- Inspect and evaluate building use and facilities to optimize space allocation and resource utilization.
- Analyze and improve HVAC systems, computer network wiring, lighting, and other factors to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Manage the Facilities Department, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling facilities modifications, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and compliance with regulations.
- Facilities Planning and Development
- Develop long-range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements for facilities, including documentation and budgeting.
- Formulate and coordinate program specifications, requirements for proposals and contracts, and associated documents.
- Act as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Maintenance and Operations
- Oversee the coordination of building space allocation, layout, and communication services.
- Direct maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, and report potentially unsafe conditions.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to ensure effective collaboration and decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field from an accredited college or university.
- At least 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid CA driver's license and current, valid vehicle insurance that meets specified limits.
