We are seeking a skilled Finance professional to join our team at Compass Group USA in a pivotal role that provides financial and commercial support to one of our largest operational regions.

The Finance Business Partner will focus on enhancing service levels, optimizing cost efficiency, and adding value to commercial initiatives through effective collaboration.

You will have the opportunity to engage directly with site operations to provide support as needed, while also managing and developing a remote finance team across various contracts.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with a Regional Business Director, ensuring robust commercial and operational decision-making, managing financial risks and opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the broader finance team to continuously refine KPIs and ensure that end users are focused on the right metrics to drive sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Preparing and reviewing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Compiling and analyzing monthly management information, including detailed variance analysis and performance reporting.
  • Creating monthly business review presentations for senior management meetings.
  • Conducting balance sheet reviews and ensuring compliance with the Group Accounting Manual, while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of SAP and Nexus.
  • Promoting working capital improvements through timely and accurate contract billing and proactive management of debt ledgers, including working capital forecasts.
  • Assessing and managing financial risks and opportunities arising from volumetric and other contract mechanisms.
  • Providing financial oversight for all contract amendments and service pricing, ensuring consistent application of pricing strategies.
  • Evaluating and challenging investment decisions.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
- Possess commercial experience in large contract management.
- Be proficient in budgeting and forecasting within a matrix environment.
- Demonstrate advanced Excel skills and financial modeling capabilities.
- Exhibit experience in Business Partnering with non-financial colleagues at senior levels.
- Be comfortable navigating uncertainty in a fast-paced environment.
- Have strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities.
- Display well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present outcomes clearly and influence stakeholders.
- Be results-oriented, capable of making decisions when necessary, and resilient in the face of challenges.
- Be a collaborative team player while also able to work independently.
- Have prior experience in line management.
