Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and oversee the safety practices of team members and subcontractors.
- Demonstrate experience in general contracting, including but not limited to concrete work, steel erection, and various finishing processes.
- Manage and occasionally assist with rough carpentry tasks, including:
- Foundation and wall layout
- Deck construction
- Wood blocking
- Frame, door, and window installation
- Hardware setup
- Safety rail installation
- Minor concrete formwork
- General labor as required
- Site cleanup and organization
- Installation of miscellaneous components
- Minor demolition tasks
- Lead by example when necessary.
- Review and assess builder packages and specifications.
- Monitor and approve budget variances and schedules.
- Authorize weekly invoices and material tickets for designated projects.
- Manage multiple projects or labor teams effectively.
- Coordinate daily work activities to ensure project goals related to safety, cleanliness, cost, schedule, quality, and processes are achieved.
- Maintain daily documentation, including timecards, field reports, and correspondence to keep all stakeholders informed.
- Collaborate with local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and contractual standards.
- Oversee the activities of various subcontractors.
- Procure necessary materials and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient construction site.
- Interpret construction plans and specifications, updating as necessary.
- Manage construction schedules effectively.
- Provide essential support to the team.
- Maintain physical readiness for the demands of the role.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a project coordinator, with at least 5 years in the construction industry.
