Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive cost-benefit analyses for prospective initiatives, assessing the financial implications of new healthcare programs.
  • Participate in financial audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Drive data-informed decision-making throughout the healthcare system, leveraging exceptional analytical capabilities and specialized financial knowledge.
  • Support department leadership in adhering to financial objectives and addressing unique fiscal challenges.
  • Perform detailed cost analyses of healthcare services and procedures, identifying direct and indirect costs, allocating overheads, and evaluating cost drivers.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to formulate precise budgets for healthcare services.
  • Forecast future costs and financial performance based on historical data and anticipated changes.
  • Monitor and analyze discrepancies between budgeted and actual costs, providing insights to management for corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, summaries, and performance metrics to key stakeholders within the healthcare system.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver decision support insights to facilitate strategic planning and operational enhancements.
  • Analyze and interpret complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimization and cost efficiencies.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across databases and reporting systems.
  • Develop and maintain standardized reporting templates and financial models for departmental use.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate departmental performance, generating timely and accurate reports.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, contributing to increased efficiency in data analysis and financial management.
  • Serve as the financial expert for specific departments, understanding their unique fiscal challenges and objectives.
  • Work closely with department managers to establish and maintain departmental budgets, financial forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Conduct financial analyses and variance assessments to identify areas for financial improvement or cost containment.
  • Provide ongoing financial training and support to managers to enhance their financial acumen and decision-making capabilities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and advancements in data analytics and financial management.
  • Engage in project management, particularly in data integration and optimization projects.
  • Utilize data manipulation and analysis tools such as Strata, Excel, SQL, or other analytics software.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills to convey complex data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Manage training and application of financial tools for all managers as the department expands.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, health informatics, or a related field, accompanied by three years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, financial analysis, or project management. Experience in data analysis and financial decision support within a healthcare context is preferred. A Master's degree in a related field is also preferred.
