Current Position Available:

Maintenance Technician I

Shift: 3rd Shift

Starting Pay: $25.50/hr

3rd Shift Differential: $1.60/hr

Location: Manufacturing Facility

Role Summary:

This role demands a high level of expertise across various technical domains, primarily concentrating on the assembly, upkeep, and evaluation of electrical systems and components. The technician ensures that production and facility-related machinery is consistently ready for operation. A successful candidate will possess practical knowledge of our manufacturing processes and a commitment to enhancing equipment performance. This position is crucial for maintaining uptime and overall productivity within the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure equipment is available and ready to meet production schedules and throughput targets.
  • Maintain operational uptime on all production machinery to consistently meet throughput expectations.
  • Quickly diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, effectively troubleshoot equipment, tools, and processes to sustain machinery production. Seek additional technical support when necessary.
  • Serve as the machine expert, capable of operating and achieving operator certification for assigned work areas.
  • Adhere to all lockout/tagout policies and procedures, applying this knowledge consistently when working on machinery.
  • Operate forklifts and high-lift equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Complete setups promptly and accurately according to production requirements.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to enhance equipment and process performance, participating in initiatives that reduce downtime and boost productivity.
  • Ensure spare parts are stocked and readily available to minimize downtime, coordinating with the Inventory Specialist to identify necessary components.
  • Provide quality training and support to fellow Manufacturing Technicians and production operators.
  • Demonstrate safety awareness and execute safety policies consistently, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Assist in operations as needed to fulfill production requirements.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, or relevant technical experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or high-volume manufacturing settings.
  • Certification in hydraulics, electrical systems, or pneumatics is preferred.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in using measurement tools.
  • Hands-on experience with basic machining tools.
  • Ability to conduct basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience in setup, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance within a machine-based manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and effective problem-solving skills aimed at enhancing throughput, quality, and safety.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and develop new skills.
  • Methodical troubleshooting abilities and effective communication skills.
  • Initiative to pursue personal and team objectives.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Ability to pass qualification tests in English.
