Mechanical Repair Technician

We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Repair Technician II to join our team at Clean Harbors. This is a critical role that requires a high level of mechanical aptitude and a strong commitment to health and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety: Ensure that health and safety is the top priority in all aspects of the job, following policies and procedures, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance activities, including pump rebuilds, preventative maintenance, and basic installations of pipe, electric work, and forklift operations.
- Repair and Upkeep: Perform basic and intermediate level repairs and upkeep in welding, electrical, pipe fitting, mechanic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Leadership: Direct the activities of lower-level maintenance personnel on larger, more complex maintenance activities.
- Project Work: Work independently on facility projects and maintenance, operating a forklift if required and trained, and responsible for performing and documenting a daily safety check prior to operating.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Hydraulic system repair experience, industrial experience required, heavy equipment repair experience.
- Skills: Ability to work overtime as needed, valid driver's license, ability to use a cutting rig, ability to successfully pass mechanical aptitude testing, proficient with computers and systems, knowledge of the industry's latest technology or having experience working with electronics.
