JOB DESCRIPTION

Clean Harbors is seeking a Facility Maintenance Repair Technician II who will be responsible for executing on-site maintenance and repairs of industrial processing equipment. We are looking for a mechanically skilled individual with a strong commitment to health and safety to join our team. The position offers a competitive wage of $30-$40 per hour, with overtime available upon approval, and is structured around a 5-9 hour shift schedule: (5) weeks of day shifts followed by (1) week of night shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that health and safety remains the primary goal by adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Conduct maintenance tasks including pump rebuilds, preventative maintenance, basic pipe installations, electrical work, and forklift operations.
  • Perform basic to intermediate repairs in welding, electrical systems, pipe fitting, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Oversee the work of junior maintenance staff on larger, more complex projects.
  • Work independently on facility projects and maintenance tasks.
  • Operate a forklift when required and ensure safety checks are completed prior to operation.
  • Review and understand all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complete necessary assessments.
  • Maintain compliance with area-specific permit requirements.
  • Understand and adhere to Clean Compliance Standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in hydraulic system repairs.
  • Industrial experience is essential.
  • Experience in heavy equipment repairs.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to operate a cutting rig.
  • Must successfully pass mechanical aptitude testing.
  • Proficient in computer systems and software.
  • Familiarity with the latest industry technologies and experience with electronics.
  • Valid US Driver's License is mandatory.
