JOB DESCRIPTION

Clean Harbors is seeking a Facility Maintenance Repair Technician II who will be responsible for conducting on-site maintenance and repairs of industrial processing equipment. This role requires a mechanically skilled individual with a strong commitment to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Perform maintenance tasks, including pump rebuilds, preventative maintenance, basic pipe installations, electrical work, and forklift operations.
  • Conduct basic to intermediate repairs in welding, electrical systems, pipe fitting, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Oversee the work of junior maintenance staff on larger projects.
  • Independently manage facility projects and maintenance tasks.
  • Operate forklifts as required, ensuring daily safety checks are completed before use.
  • Review and complete all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and associated quizzes.
  • Understand and comply with area-specific permit requirements.
  • Familiarize with Clean Compliance Standards.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in hydraulic system repairs.
  • Industrial experience is essential.
  • Experience in heavy equipment repairs.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to operate a cutting rig.
  • Successfully pass mechanical aptitude assessments.
  • Proficient in computer systems and software.
  • Knowledge of current industry technologies and experience with electronics.
  • Valid US Driver's License is required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; sponsorship for employment visas is not available at this time.
