Position: GFEBS Financial Operations Specialist

In this role, you will provide comprehensive financial support utilizing the Army's General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) alongside other financial platforms. Your expertise will assist Government clients in their daily operational needs related to GFEBS.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing financial execution of appropriated funds, encompassing Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation (RDT&E), Operation and Maintenance (OMA), Procurement, Congressional Adds, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
  • Utilizing various Army financial systems such as GFEBS, Logistics Management Program (LMP), Comprehensive Cost and Requirements (CCaR), and Defense Travel Systems (DTS).
  • Reconciling, forecasting, and reporting within the CCaR system.
  • Understanding the Army Joint Reconciliation Process (JRP) and tracking financial actions including Open Commitments and Accounts Receivable.
  • Providing Audit Readiness support in accordance with guidelines from the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army Financial Management and Comptroller (OASA (FM&C)).
  • Researching Unmatched Transactions (UMTs) and collaborating with DFAS for corrections.
  • Executing and analyzing Business Intelligence (BI) reports to track financial metrics.
  • Resolving Intermediate Document (IDOC) Interface Error Reports across various systems.
  • Creating job aids and delivering procedural training to end users.
  • Investigating open financial balances and making necessary corrections.
  • Processing customer reimbursable funds and ensuring accurate execution of orders.
  • Reviewing financial data for accuracy using GFEBS ERP and BI functions.
  • Coordinating with various agencies to resolve discrepancies in financial systems.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Expert-level knowledge of GFEBS and familiarity with Army accounting processes.
  • An ACTIVE security clearance.
  • The ability to work independently and manage large datasets proficiently using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Strategic thinking abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
