Job Title: Budget Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Budget Analyst to play a critical role in ensuring the financial management of our programs is accurate and compliant with established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze proposed program elements budget documentation to ensure adherence to established guidelines and identify areas for improvement.
  • Plan, coordinate, consolidate, evaluate, and control program and budget execution to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Prepare detailed budget estimates, justification statements, and budget execution plans for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE) and Operations & Maintenance, Army (OMA) programs.
  • Extract financial data from GFEBS and Defense Travel System (DTS) to prepare charts, graphs, and other graphics for senior leadership briefings.
  • Maintain Army Audit Readiness by documenting and maintaining the Army's General Fund and Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) posting and fund management audit trail.
Requirements:
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the NH-02 pay band/GS-11 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service.
  • Evaluating programmed distribution of available funds.
  • Monitoring fund distribution and execution.
  • Ensuring appropriate financial management procedures are followed.
  • Working with various financial systems, including GFEBS and DTS.
