Job Description

**Financial Management Analyst**

Canvas, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Analyst to join our team in a dynamic and challenging role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting research and program analysis, reviewing obligations, and validating unliquidated obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and program analysis using GFEBS, MOCAS, SDW, and WAWF to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Review obligations and validate unliquidated obligations, verifying case lines determined to be logistically supply/service complete, and ensuring compliance with US Army Audit Readiness.
  • Validate total FMS obligations on contracts and recognize missing obligations in the accounting system, providing status of unliquidated obligations, and developing reconciliation and contract packages for Acquisition Branch to clear ULO balances on contracts.
  • Pull samples and data for budgetary reporting to ensure compliance within US Army Audit Readiness, and research unliquidated obligations and negative unliquidated obligations, advising management of closeout and reconciliation strategy.
  • Develop and prepare briefings, reports, executive summaries, and other required documents detailing reconciliation of contracts with regards to ULOs, NULOs for disbursement issues, and provide applicable ULO document information to include MIPRs, DD448-2's, contract data, and GFEBS Status of Funds data to POCs for Contract and MIPR ULOs.
  • Assist with FMS case and line closure on various contracts, and responsible for monthly reconciliation and subsidiary registers to various financial reports.
  • Review and analyze accounting system computerized reports, and develop and present recommendations for GFEBS accounts, transactions, and contracts.
  • Participate in meetings with customers, senior Army officers and civilians, government action officers, and other vendors to gather and integrate data, assist with project scheduling, and track progress of assigned work segments.
  • Provide Joint Reconciliation Program (JRP) support and independently research and review audit samples.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of DoD financial execution and financial administration, including GFEBS, Shared Data Warehouse, and PIEE system.
  • General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS).
  • Lines of accounting as well as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), as well as other required regulations, policies, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • DAWIA Foundational Contracting Certification / Program Management / other DAWIA certifications.
  • Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) funding (Admin and Case).
