Position Title: Revenue Cycle Analyst, Healthcare

A prominent organization in the healthcare sector is looking to enhance its team by adding a Revenue Cycle Analyst. This position involves executing a range of standard, recurring, and moderately intricate financial assessments to support the operational business requirements of the revenue cycle. The role includes developing dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators, metrics, and financial opportunities for specific revenue cycle departments. Additionally, the analyst will collaborate with revenue cycle leaders and organizational stakeholders to enhance financial performance based on analytical insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive analysis of financial and revenue cycle performance to identify trends, patterns, and underlying causes.
  • Performs regular root cause analysis of pertinent financial transactions for designated departments.
  • Tracks key performance indicators for assigned areas and investigates reasons for performance variations and declines.
  • Prepares summary findings of analyses for review by department leadership.
  • Reviews historical and projected financial data to provide stakeholders with critical information for operational decision-making.
  • Utilizes a robust understanding of revenue cycle applications, operational workflows, and regulatory guidelines to assist in analytical evaluations.
  • Builds internal relationships to gain insights into department workflows.
  • Engages regularly with revenue cycle managers and directors regarding improvement opportunities identified through data analysis.
  • Analyzes, prepares, and coordinates the distribution of various financial reports for internal revenue cycle use and as required for external stakeholders.
  • Maintains various financial databases and records for accurate reporting of financial data.
  • Develops and manipulates extensive data sets.
  • Provides analytical support for special projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or Healthcare.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as an Analyst (in Revenue Cycle, Data, Financial, Business, or related fields) is required.
  • Experience in supporting healthcare industries is essential.
  • 1-2 years of experience in statistical analysis.
  • 1-2 years of hospital billing experience is required.

Work Environment:

This position is fully remote, allowing candidates to work from anywhere in the United States.
