About the Role:

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a seasoned ABS Sales professional to join our team. As an ABS Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining profitable distribution of ABS securities to an assigned investor base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships through prospecting and account maintenance activities, focusing on investors that transact in consumer, transportation, esoteric, and developing ABS asset classes.
  • Build relationships within Capital Markets and the ABS DCM Group, providing market feedback to fixed income traders and syndicate.
  • Provide monthly recaps of activity and developmental needs to the manager, maintaining deep knowledge on new products and industry trends.
  • Develop new and creative approaches to customer relationship building, establishing a working relationship with middle office and back-office operations that support sales efforts.
  • Generate revenue at a level exceeding the goal determined by the Sales Manager, making customer/prospect referrals to other corporate calling officers and documenting same.
  • Represent the department at seminars, trade shows, and industry forums, providing market feedback and revenue generation/cost savings ideas to the manager.
  • Based on vertical, provide thoughts on investor buyer base and deliver new accounts/key impact to processes involving investor sentiment, preferences, and needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or Business-related field, with an MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in ABS Sales and/or ABS Banking, with thorough knowledge of and ability to use software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg.
  • Solid client/investor relationships developed, with Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, 63 required.
