The Director of Sales will be responsible for driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets for Bioventus' Surgical Solutions division.     • Manage and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve and deliver revenue goals for each product category.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed area financial sales and marketing objectives.
  • Business Planning and Execution
    • Develop business plans for assigned products to meet or exceed area financial sales and marketing objectives.
    • Direct tactical implementation of business plans to meet objectives.
  • Market Intelligence and Analysis
    • Participate in strategic planning and sales forecasting.
    • Provide market insights, trends, competitive activity, and conditions.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Build professional and technical knowledge by engaging with customers, attending scientific conferences, educational workshops, delivering presentations, training field personnel, and reviewing professional publications.
    • Responsible for the hiring, coaching, and development of team members.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Responsible for the distribution revenue targets and ensuring strong engagement and partnership with distributors.
    • Oversee distribution strategy to ensure it is in alignment with Bioventus standards and expectations.
  • Accountability and Compliance
    • Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus' Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • BA or BS in Business, Marketing, Biomedical Sciences, etc. MBA or advanced studies preferred.
    • Five (5) to eight (8) years or more of demonstrated high achievement in Sales/General Management in the medical device industry.
  • Leadership and Management Skills
    • Strong leadership skills with ability to lead in a motivating style.
    • Multi-unit/cross-product line management experience.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
