Job Summary:

Lead night warehouse operations and personnel for safe and efficient preparation of product for delivery to customers the following day. Assist the first line supervisor in directing associates to achieve accurate orders that are then staged and loaded on the trucks.

Oversee the preparation of the warehouse for receiving the next day. Monitor a variety of operational information, such as "mis-picks" and productivity reports, to ensure individual order selectors and the entire shift are meeting rates and following preferred methods.

Regularly inspect the facility for safety hazards and either resolve them or report them to the safety manager or Night Shift Supervisor as appropriate. Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment. Ensure the warehouse is kept clean and in compliance with AIB standards.

Work with the Night Shift Supervisor to identify sources of inventory shrink and assist in developing an action plan. Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.

Maintain physical condition of warehouse; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Assist with employee schedules, work-loads and productivity and ensure that all picking, loading, and replenishing are done correctly and completed nightly.

Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety requirements. Cover for any other area of the warehouse as needed and oversee the night operation when the Night Shift Supervisor is not available.

Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

About You:

Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills. Ability to make decisions, problem-solve, prioritize assignments and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment.

Experience with process improvement and knowledge of best practices within receiving and inventory control. Ability to motivate, influence, communicate and engage staff in all the company objectives.

Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
