Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Topcon Positioning Group. As a key member of our Supply Chain Management team, you will be responsible for negotiating and managing suppliers to obtain product information, working with Supply Chain Management to evaluate and select suppliers, and providing support for internal customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and manage suppliers to obtain product information in the areas of price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Work with Supply Chain Management to evaluate and select suppliers for new projects.
  • Provide support for internal customers, including Engineering, Project Management, and Supply Chain.
  • Understand and utilize MRP planning and inventory management skills.
  • Create and maintain accurate POs to suppliers to meet project timeline for prototype, pre-production, and production builds.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor movement of materials through their lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience within manufacturing planning, procurement, and relevant Supply Chain Management activities.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with SAP or Oracle.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with item and bill of material (BOM) creation and management.
  • 2 years experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system like Arena, Agile, or SAP.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work across various functions, roles, organizations, and cultures.
  • Accountability, self-motivation, and follow-through to ensure work is properly supporting the goals of the Engineering, Project Management, and SCM teams.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
