Position Title: Field Service OEM Representative

Department: Field Service

Classification: Exempt

Role Summary: The Field Service OEM Representative plays a crucial role in delivering ongoing support to our clients by servicing our products effectively.

Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will:

  • Deliver service and customer support directly at client locations.
  • Oversee and carry out all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing activities.
  • Identify and resolve technical and customer-related issues while ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Understand client needs and provide suitable recommendations and briefings.
  • Document field modifications and processes accurately to support future product enhancements, ongoing service, and warranty claims.
  • Determine service requirements and procure necessary components and parts to fulfill service requests.
  • Generate timely and detailed service reports and updates.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products manufactured by USSC and its suppliers.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients.
  • Effectively plan and schedule your work week.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

You would be an excellent fit for this position if you possess the following:

  • A high school diploma.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a technician or equivalent mechanical skills.
  • Experience in the automotive or transit sectors is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and proficient use of hand tools and other job-related equipment.
  • Capability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility regarding work hours and travel requirements.
  • A valid driver's license and passport, with the ability to travel internationally.
  • Familiarity with computerized business systems, including Excel, Word, and general computer skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including tact and diplomacy for customer service and conflict resolution.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrating analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • A strong commitment to safety and adherence to policies promoting a safe work environment.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing pressure and adapting to change quickly.
  • Understanding of the importance of attendance and punctuality in a growing company.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and some weekends to support company growth.
