Position Title: Field Service OEM Representative
Department: Field Service
Classification: Exempt
Role Summary: The Field Service OEM Representative plays a crucial role in delivering ongoing support to our clients by servicing our products effectively.
Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will:
- Deliver service and customer support directly at client locations.
- Oversee and carry out all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing activities.
- Identify and resolve technical and customer-related issues while ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
- Understand client needs and provide suitable recommendations and briefings.
- Document field modifications and processes accurately to support future product enhancements, ongoing service, and warranty claims.
- Determine service requirements and procure necessary components and parts to fulfill service requests.
- Generate timely and detailed service reports and updates.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products manufactured by USSC and its suppliers.
- Foster positive relationships with clients.
- Effectively plan and schedule your work week.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
You would be an excellent fit for this position if you possess the following:
- A high school diploma.
- 1-3 years of experience as a technician or equivalent mechanical skills.
- Experience in the automotive or transit sectors is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and proficient use of hand tools and other job-related equipment.
- Capability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility regarding work hours and travel requirements.
- A valid driver's license and passport, with the ability to travel internationally.
- Familiarity with computerized business systems, including Excel, Word, and general computer skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, including tact and diplomacy for customer service and conflict resolution.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrating analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- A strong commitment to safety and adherence to policies promoting a safe work environment.
- A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing pressure and adapting to change quickly.
- Understanding of the importance of attendance and punctuality in a growing company.
- Willingness to work extended hours and some weekends to support company growth.
