YOUR ROLE IN OUR SUCCESS
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, components, equipment, or services while maximizing the efficient use of company resources in accordance with our policies and relevant regulations.
You will develop expertise in specific commodities and maintain professional relationships with suppliers, ensuring all purchasing practices uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
Your commitment to quality will be essential in achieving our objectives and driving organizational change.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute defined tasks under the guidance of Purchasing management or a Senior Buyer.
- Review incoming requisitions for accuracy and ensure proper authorization.
- Initiate quote requests and expedite supplier responses.
- Assist in determining effective pricing strategies through analysis of historical data.
- Monitor costs and schedules for assigned subcontracts.
- Engage with suppliers and conduct facility visits to assess alignment with Ferrotec's standards.
- Oversee return-to-vendor activities to ensure optimal corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments regarding delivery status and quality issues.
- Communicate with planning teams to address delivery challenges.
- Work alongside a Senior Buyer or Purchasing Manager to enhance delivery processes and achieve cost savings.
- Manage one or more commodities, utilizing various acquisition methods to procure supplies efficiently.
- Maintain records and reports on supplier performance and commodity metrics as required.
- Establish receipt schedules and quantities to meet demand while adhering to cost and inventory targets.
- Propose and implement improvements to purchasing practices and supplier management processes.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Proficiency in English and Chinese is a plus.
